Indeed Allah is forbidding you to select as friend those who fought with you in the case of religion, who have delivered you out from your houses, and who have helped for your delivering out; and whoever selects them as friends, such are the wrongdoers.
Since there is no any group of believers anywhere in the world, there is no battle in the case of Jihad. Instead there is only strenuous Jihad towards the Hypocrites and Kuffar as explained in verse 9: 73. Allah obstructs only keeping love and affection with those who are keeping hatred towards the believers. To put it brief, those who are dealing with affection towards the Arabic Qur’an Reading Fujjar who have made their food rejecting Adhikr as explained in the verse 56: 82 are the wrong doers as explained in the verses 9: 23-24. 9: 125; 48: 6; and 61: 8-9.
